Nine elite wrestlers from Japan, Mongolia, and Egypt compete in 36 bouts in the first professional sumo exhibition ever staged in the UAE, coordinated in collaboration with USA Sumo.  Weighing in at nearly 1,800 kg, these 9 contenders are scheduled to compete:

Ichi, Japan
Emperor’s Cup winner with top division professional success. The headliner and most-decorated athlete, with 9 gold stars for defeating all yokozuna (Grand Champions) in his era.

Hiroki, Japan
Recognized as the heaviest sumo champion on Earth. Elite professional division competitor known for extraordinary size and power.

Waka, Japan
Veteran wrestler with 763 career matches in elite professional sumo competition.

Tora, Mongolia

Veteran wrestler with 825 career matches in elite professional sumo competition.

Zorig, Mongolia
Fighter with seven years of professional experience, plus international sumo success.

Ramy, Egypt
10-time national sumo champion and US Sumo Open Champion. One of the most accomplished Arab sumo wrestlers in history.

By car: There are various ways to reach your destination, including heading southeast on Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, taking exit 29 toward Khalifa City, and following the ramp to Al Raha Beach East. Then take a slight right to merge onto Al Bandar Street, and turn left onto Ar Rahah Street to reach your location. GPS navigation is highly advised.

By public transportation: There are various ways to reach your destination by taking bus 170 to the Al Rahah St / Transco Power Substation bus stop, followed by a three-minute walk, or bus 175 to the same stop, followed by a four-minute walk.

By taxi: You can easily reach your destination by taking a taxi or a ride-hailing app.
