Riverdance returns to the UAE as part of its 30th Anniversary Tour, performing at Etihad Arena on 31 October and 1 November.

Three decades on, Riverdance remains a worldwide sensation. Its Grammy Award-winning score, thunderous rhythms, and breathtaking precision have made it a beloved family favourite across generations. Seen by more than three billion people worldwide through live performances and broadcasts, it stands as one of the most successful dance productions ever created.

This 30th-anniversary edition reignites that power with a renewed staging of the original production, featuring updated choreography, refreshed costume design, and enhanced lighting, projection, and motion graphics. For the first time, the tour introduces “The New Generation” of performers, bringing fresh energy and intensity to a show that continues to evolve while honouring its roots.

The story began on 30 April 1994, when Riverdance exploded onto the world stage during the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin. In just seven electrifying minutes, the performance stunned the thousands inside the Point Theatre and captivated more than 300 million television viewers worldwide. What started as an interval act became a cultural phenomenon that transformed Irish dance forever.

Conceived by producer Moya Doherty, with music composed by Bill Whelan and choreography by Michael Flatley, Jean Butler, and Mavis Ascott, Riverdance ignited a global passion for Irish performance that continues to burn brighter than ever.

By car: The arena is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi and can be accessed via major highways and roads. If you are coming from downtown Abu Dhabi, you can take Sheikh Zayed Road and follow the signs to the arena.

By public transportation: Etihad Arena is easily accessible by bus. The nearest bus station would be the Al Matar Al Qadeem bus stop, which is located approximately 800 meters away.

By taxi: You can also take a taxi to Etihad Arena. It's a famous destination, and most drivers would be familiar with its location.
