1st Annual Black Out at Sofitel, Abu Dhabi Corniche

Overpriced drinks were very disappointing for such a nice event. My friends and I have attended multiple events as well as Atlon and we continue to be disappointed at the drink selection (bottom shelf liquor at top shelf prices) as well as the pricing for such events. Please give people what they paid for.

The amount of smoke

the Music - James the organizer has been doing & playing the same list for most of his past events & the disappointment is felt & shared by most of the attendees at his events.Also the same list is being played at his local venue Atlon.
If the music played is not able to keep the crowd, the event is almost lost.

The drink were RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. To pay Dh65 for a can of coke is absolutely sickening. Glass of wine 75, single gin and tonic 100. I would rate the event 5 if not for the absurd drinks prices and this is also what would make me rethink joining again as I’m on a tight budget. Another major thing. A friend was turned away for wearing sandals. This man was dressed smart and wearing sandals . Not only was he turned away , he was aggressively escorted away and told to get other shoes in Lulu. He arrived early around 5:30 . There was obviously no consistency in this dress code so it makes no sense that a smartly dressed man is turned away. You’ve lost a valuable customer who is in a public capacity and came all the way from Dubai. If he was dressed like going to the beach I can understand , but he wasn’t. I stayed for the whole event so I know this was uncalled for compared to what others were wearing.
