Comedy legend Dave Chappelle returns to Abu Dhabi for one night only on June 27 at Etihad Arena. Renowned for his sharp wit and bold social commentary, Chappelle headlines the second edition of Abu Dhabi Comedy Week, organized by Live Nation Middle East in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral.

His last appearance in 2024 made history with a sold-out show drawing over 14,000 fans—the largest comedy event ever held in the region.

Born in Washington, D.C. in 1973 to a family of educators, Chappelle launched his stand-up career at just 14 and rose to international fame through film, television, and his groundbreaking Chappelle’s Show (2003–2006). His unexpected exit from a $50 million deal at the show’s peak became a defining moment of artistic integrity.

Known for blending personal stories with cultural insights, Chappelle has won widespread acclaim through six Netflix specials, including his latest, The Dreamer. His accolades include five Emmy Awards, six Grammys for Best Comedy Album, and the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. He also received the NAACP President’s Award and made history with the longest monologue in Saturday Night Live’s 50-year run.

This event will be a YONDR phone-free experience. Use of cell phones, smart watches, smart accessories, cameras, or recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space.
Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in YONDR pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests always maintain possession of their phones and can access their phones throughout the event at designated YONDR Phone Use Areas in the venue.
All devices will be re-secured in YONDR pouches before returning to the event space. Anyone seen using a cell phone during the performance will be escorted out of the venue. Guests are encouraged to bring a credit card for purchases inside the venue.

By car: The arena is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi and can be accessed via major highways and roads. If you are coming from downtown Abu Dhabi, you can take Sheikh Zayed Road and follow the signs to the arena.

By public transportation: Etihad Arena is easily accessible by bus. The nearest bus station would be the Al Matar Al Qadeem bus stop, which is located approximately 800 meters away.

By taxi: You can also take a taxi to Etihad Arena. It's a famous destination, and most drivers would be familiar with its location.
