Rooftop Rhythms #10- 1st Anniversary Show! March 15, 2013

Recap of Rooftop Rhythms #9: The last show on February 22nd was arguably the best yet with nearly 15 performances and 150 in attendance. Poets from Ireland to Sudan to USA to Syria spoke their unique experiences and perspectives through spoken word. The crowd was diverse as ever with attendees representing almost every continent of the world. They cheered on professionals and novices alike and helped to choose Price is Right as the best TV game show of all-time. Come out on March 15, 2013, as we celebrate our 1st anniversary with a poetry open mike and the UAE's first ever poetry slam. The concept of a slam started more than 20 years ago in the USA and is a poetry competition in which five members are chosen to score performance from 0.0 to 10.0.
