Serving up the best Urban, Hip Hop, Soul, R&B and Funk, every Friday from 8pm till 3am – Pearls Bar (p&c by Sergio Arola), Shangri-La Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

'Urban Education' is exactly that; bringing you something different. If you have been down to our Friday night events in the past, you'll know exactly what to expect. Playing the hottest R&B, Old Skool Hip Hop tracks, and funky tunes. After 8 successful years of actively educating and developing an Urban scene in Dubai and Abu Dhabi 'Urban Education' is back to continue to showcase the roots of R&B and Hip Hop.

With a residency in Dubai and now returning to Abu Dhabi, 'Urban Education' is without doubt the leading Urban night in the UAE with an elite crowd of R&B and Hip Hop connoisseurs. With resident DJ Rone Jaxx playing his unique blend of old, new and commercial R&B, Hip Hop and Dancehall creating the party vibe for the sexy and slick clientele.

Rone Jaxx, born Rony Jackson, started his musical journey at the age of 14,back in the early 90's whilst deejaying/emceeing in spontaneous venues all over U.A.E , most of his early gigs consisted him to play an eclectic (all kinds of music) set which he always delivered with a raw urban touch. Known as one of the sole pioneers of HIP HOP in the Middle East and recognised for developing the urban music scene in the UAE; Rone Jaxx now resides on Radio 1 with the hugely successful 'URBAN EDUCATION' which first aired in 2005, schooling the UAE on classic, unreleased, and latest urban flavours.

3GK was born and brought up in Dubai and developed a love for Urban music at a very young age.He was taken under the wing of the legendary Radio1 (104.1) DJ, Rapper & Producer Rone Jaxx, who has been in the UAE night life and music scene for more than 2 decades.
3GK is a resident dj for Urban Education brand & radio show hosted by Rone jaxx.

He is currently one of the resident DJs for Urban Education . His music style consists of genres such as soul, Old skool, New skool, R&B ,Hip Hop, Funk, New Jack Swing & 2 step garage.
