Ravi Coltrane - Cosmic Music in Abu Dhabi

Acclaimed saxophonist Ravi Coltrane reimagines the spiritual and ecstatic music of two jazz pioneers.

Ravi Coltrane, critically acclaimed Grammy™ nominated saxophonist, bandleader, and composer, explores the groundbreaking, mystical, and spiritual jazz of his parents, John and Alice Coltrane, in a contemporary dive into their pioneering work. He is joined on stage by his quartet: Gadi Lehavi on piano, Dezron Douglas on bass, Elé Howell on drums.

See below the guidelines for attending events at The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi.

● Entry to the NYUAD Campus is through either the West or East Parking or the Welcome Center.
● As per current Department of Culture and Tourism guidelines, in order to attend a performance and enter campus patrons are requested to present their Al Hosn Green Pass for entry. To maintain a Green Pass the tests are every 30 days. UAE citizens and residents, who are fully vaccinated and boosted (if eligible), can maintain a green pass by receiving a PCR every 30 days. Or have an official exemption from vaccination or booster a receive a PCR test every 7 days
● Entry for events should be based on Al Hosn Green pass in full. Vaccinated children below age 16 have an automatic green pass. Unvaccinated children are required to have a negative PCR to obtain a green pass (based on Al Hosn's timings). NYUAD will follow the Al Hosn green pass timings in this case. 16+ guests follow the Al Hosn green pass in full.

Exceptions to this are as follows:-

○ For the un-vaccinated (ages 13+), present a negative PCR test result not more than 7 days old with a valid Al Hosn Green Pass.
○ Visitors to the UAE who are fully vaccinated (booster not required) are permitted to enter with a 30-day PCR. Visitors who are unvaccinated will be permitted to enter with a 7-day PCR

● Patrons will be required to present a valid ticket to an event at The Arts Center upon entry to the campus, either through parking or through the welcome center.
● The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that beginning Wednesday, September 28, the wearing of face masks will no longer be required in most indoor public places, including campus buildings. Current regulations requiring masks indoors remain in effect until then.
● Although the mask requirement has been lifted, members of our community who choose to wear masks may continue to do so. Please be considerate and mindful that this is an individual’s choice and is welcome in our community. Nobody should be asked to remove their mask or made to feel uncomfortable if they choose to wear one.
