Al Sa’a Al Rabi’a’ - Four O’clock is based on ‘Toc Toc’, a play by French playwright Laurent Baffie. The play sheds light on the lives of several characters struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Among the characters,Fuad, a man in his late forties suffers from OCD, leading him to curse obsessively while talking, Yara who works in sanitation suffers from obsessive cleaning, and Sami, a young man in his twenties is delusional and has a phobia about walking on pavement lines. Alongside other characters, the action is set in the waiting room of Dr. Nader’s psychiatric practice, where the five main characters meet as each awaits their appointment. A clock on the wall is stuck at “twenty minutes to four”.
