Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is delighted to announce the launching of its 6th Méridien Village Festival – “the Greek Day” on 7th February 2014. The “Greek Day” will be open to the public free of charge where visitors will get an opportunity to celebrate, learn, and savour the ancestral Greek culture. Come, discover and be amazed, this is all about Le Méridien Village Festival! The Center Garden will be converted into a Greek city with typical festive decoration. On this special occasion, Le Méridien Abu Dhabi will have the privilege of welcoming His Excellency Zois Dionyssios, the Ambassador of Greece in the UAE, who will be celebrating with us. By 3:00 pm onwards at Wakataua terrace food stalls will host a large array of authentic Greek dishes at a very affordable price. Cooking stations will be serving up delicious Greek starters like mermezeli, tzatziki, skordalia, kolokythokeftedes... Try delicious main course from tasty Greek dishes: Mousaka, pastitsio, kleftiko lamb, bekri meze and special Greek barbecue. Finish the feast with some Greek delicacies like kataifi, galaktoboureko, loukoumades or karydopita. From Greece we are flying a live band with bouzouki players that will make you dance on the tables until sunset! And to express our joy let’s smash some plates on the most traditional way! The children will also have great fun with face painting and bouncy castle in a dedicated children’s play area.
