Thikra: Night of Remembering is a contemporary dance production by highly-acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan created in collaboration with award-winning visual artist Manal AlDowayan.

Thikra draws inspiration from AlUla’s ancient landscapes, mythology and cultural heritage to evoke the idea that “without a past, there is no future.”

Featuring an all-female ensemble of contemporary voices and Bharatanatyam dancers, the production explores the concept of remembering, ritual, and ancestral connection. This is not just a performance, it is a spiritual journey – magical, mystical and filled with emotions.

Patrons arriving late to a performance will only be admitted into the venue at a suitable break. Latecomers may be seated in alternate seat locations to avoid disruption of the performance.
