Enter a night of discovery which brings together artists reshaping traditional roots through modern sound. Three distinct acts share one stage, each offering a global perspective shaped by cultural heritage and contemporary expression.

The lineup features Yasmine Hamdan, a pioneer of the Arab indie scene, marking her long-awaited return. She is joined by Al-Qasar, whose retro-futurist Arab psychedelia bridges the Mojave and the Sahara, and Maruja Limón, delivering an energetic fusion of rumba Catalana, flamenco, dembow, electronic music, salsa, and pop.

This is a standing concert, with a limited number of seats reserved for People of Determination.
Yasmine Hamdan (Lebanon)
Yasmine Hamdan first gained recognition as a co-founder of Beirut’s pioneering indie electronic duo Soapkills alongside Zeid Hamdan in the late 1990s. After relocating to Paris in 2005, she collaborated with producer Mirwais on the Y.A.S. project, releasing Arabology in 2009. As a solo artist, she has earned international acclaim for blending pan-Arabic roots with pop, poetic lyrics, and electronic textures. Yasmine has toured globally with her albums Ya Nass (2013) and Al Jamilat (2017) and collaborated with filmmakers including Elia Suleiman and Jim Jarmusch. Her third album is scheduled for worldwide release in September 2025 on Crammed Discs/[PIAS].

Al-Qasar (USA / France)
Formed between Los Angeles and Paris in 2016, Al-Qasar is a collective led by producer Thomas Attar, bringing together musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds. Their sound fuses North African trance rhythms, Arab scales, and the raw energy of rock’n’roll. Following their debut album Who Are We on Glitterbeat Records, the band toured extensively across five continents and performed at major festivals including WOMAD, Sziget, and Reeperbahn. Their second album, UNCOVERED, reimagines songs from Western pop and Arab folk traditions, delivering retro-futurist Arab psychedelia with one foot in the Mojave and the other in the Sahara.

Maruja Limón (Spain)
Maruja Limón is a six-member band from Barcelona known for their vibrant fusion of flamenco, pop, and Latin rhythms. Their debut album Más de ti (2018) received critical acclaim and earned them Best Emerging Artist at the ARC Awards. With Ante Mí (2019), they received a nomination for Best World Music Album at the MIN Awards. The band has performed at major international festivals across Europe and the United States. Their latest project, Te como la cara, explores rumba Catalana blended with dembow, electronic music, salsa, and pop, and continues to expand their dynamic and expressive sound.
