Membership at The Arts Center unites people: bringing audiences closer to the artists, creating meeting points for the community, and connecting ideas and inspiration.

A season of theater, dance, music, and film awaits you. Our 11th season includes a year of artist residencies showcasing more than 40 performances, all surrounded by Q&As, workshops, and talks. Membership Options:
Each membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase and can be tailored to your personal and family needs by adding adults and youth to your account. See the packages and costs below for two tiers of membership: VIP and Supporting.

We’re excited to share a new benefit to our membership program: book companion tickets at the same time as your member tickets in a single transaction to ensure your seats are together. For all of our shows this season, in addition to your membership ticket(s), VIP Members can purchase up to 3 additional tickets, and Supporting Members can purchase 1 additional ticket.

  • Why should I become a member?
    Membership at The Arts Center celebrates our 10th Anniversary season and supports our mission, bringing audiences closer to the artists; it creates meeting points for the community; and connects ideas and inspiration. It also gives you exclusive access and benefits, including early access to tickets, complimentary or discount tickets (depending on membership type), limited edition Arts Center merchandise, exclusive access to social events with the artists, priority admissions line for Members, and more.

  • How do I become a member?
    Please visit the membership section of The Arts Center’s website (https://www.nyuad-artscenter.org/become-a-member) and choose your membership package, just like booking a ticket. The page will redirect you to Platinumlist, where you can choose your membership type and proceed with the payment.
  • What are the benefits of being a member?
    Member benefits vary depending on which type of membership you purchase and on how many people you add to your membership.

  • The Arts Center VIP Membership - Ability to see every production in the season. Get earliest access to ticket booking, a dedicated members' entrance line, invites to exclusive events and dinners, a limited edition water bottle and tote bag, our commemorative anniversary coffee table book, signed by the Executive Artistic Director, and access to a Members-only concierge service email.

  • The Arts Center Supporting Membership - Discounted tickets to every show, early access to ticket booking, one complimentary ticket to a show of your choice, a dedicated members entrance line, limited edition water bottle and tote bag, and access to a Members-only concierge service email.

  • Can I customize the number of people in my membership based on the size of my family?
    Yes. For both VIP and Supporting Members, you’ll start by booking your Principal membership. Then you can add on as many additional adults or youth as you want to, for a discounted Add-on price. This will determine how many complimentary or discounted tickets you can book per show.

  • As a member, how do I get tickets to performances?
    Once your membership is active, you will receive a unique Promocode that you will use to unlock your free or discounted ticket. On the Platinumlist event page, type in your Promocode before selecting your ticket type. Once you enter the code, your discount will be applied.

  • How many tickets can I book using my membership?
    You will be entitled to one member ticket per performance for the Principal member, plus additional tickets based on how many Add-on memberships you purchased. Additional tickets for non-members can be purchased at full price.

  • Can I change my tickets for another date/show?
    We understand that plans sometimes change. If you wish to change your tickets for a different performance time, please email the Members-only email address nyuad.members@nyu.edu, and we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.  If you simply cannot attend and you wish to cancel your ticket, please let us know so we can release your ticket to make it available to someone else in the community who wants to attend.

  • Can I buy tickets for my friend(s)?
    As a member, you will only be able to reserve one member ticket, for the Principal member, plus additional tickets based on additional add-ons to your membership.

    To book a ticket for your friends, if your membership includes enough tickets, you can book the ticket and then invite your friends. The PromoCode is just for you and must not be shared.

  • I am a member, and I have booked a ticket and cannot attend. Can I get a refund?
    We understand that plans sometimes change. If you simply cannot attend, please let us know so we can release your ticket(s) to make them available to someone else in the community who wants to attend. You are also free to give the ticket to a friend if they will definitely be able to come. We try not to let seats go empty so that everyone who wants to see the show can, and so the artists don’t play to empty seats. Refunds are available 48 hours prior to the show.

  • I am a member and didn’t book a ticket early enough. Now it’s sold out. Do you have special tickets on hold for members?
    Members receive early access to book tickets before they go on sale to the general public. If you decide you want to attend later, after tickets are already sold out, members will get priority should we receive any returned tickets or late cancellations. To add your name to the ticket waitlist (exclusive to members only), please email nyuad.members@nyu.edu

  • Are there any exclusive events for members? What are they?
    Events will include invitations to dinners with the artists, VIP pre- or post-performance receptions, season previews, and more.

  • How will I know about the special events?
    Members will periodically receive exclusive invites from The Arts Center to events. Keep an eye on your inbox for emails from The Arts Center at NYUAD. Make sure you identify our email address as Not Spam, or even better, add us to your Favorites to make sure you don’t miss it.

  • Can I use my membership for Abu Dhabi Festival or Candlelight concerts events?
    The Arts Center sometimes partners with other organizations that host performances in our venues. The membership benefits only apply to events produced by The Arts Center directly, unless otherwise noted.
  • Can I refund my membership?
    Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Can I purchase a membership as a gift?
    Yes. Please designate the recipient at the time of purchase.
  • Will I receive early notice of performances?
    Our weekly newsletter is the best place to learn about new events that have been added to our season. The newsletter will let you know the early booking deadlines for Members only.

  • How does the dedicated Members Line work at events?
    Members will be able to access the Members-only dedicated Priority line that grants members faster access to our theaters. Please note that latecomers will have to use the main theater doors.

  • How long is the membership valid for? Will it expire at the end of the season?
    The membership is valid for one year, regardless of when in the season you purchase it. For example, if you purchase a membership on November 1, 2024, it will be valid until October 31, 2024. Note that our main programming seasons run from September to June.
  • How many adults and how many youth can I include in my membership?
    Your VIP and Supporting membership can include up to 4 adults (principal member plus 3 additional adults)  and 6 youth. In both cases, a full-price principal membership will be required in order to purchase discounted Add-On memberships.

  • Do prices include VAT?
    VAT is added to the base price when you purchase your membership. The VIP membership is priced at 1,400 + 5% VAT (70 AED), so it will be charged at a combined cost of 1470 AED. The Supporting membership is priced at 400 + 5% VAT(20) and will be charged at a combined cost of a total of 420 AED.
  • Where do I sign up for membership?
    Please visit the membership section of The Arts Center’s website and select  Become a Member. This will direct you to Platinumlist, where you can select your level of membership and the number of Add-on memberships

  • How long will it take for my membership to activate?
    Your membership will be activated within 24 hours of your completed purchase. If you do not receive your customized membership code, please contact  nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call us at 02-628-4555.

  • Will I receive a membership card?
    We will issue you a digital membership card. The membership is managed virtually, via our computerized box office system. Your customized Promocode will be the most important tool to access your Member privileges, so please don’t lose it. If you have any issues, please email nyuad.members@nyu.edu and let us know that you are a member so we can assist you.

  • What do I do if my tickets do not arrive?
    If you booked tickets and for some reason they were not received in your inbox, please check your Spam folder. Tickets will come from a Platinumlist return address. If you still do not find them, please contact nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call 02-628-4555, and we will assist.

  • I am having trouble booking tickets with my special promo code. What do I do?
    If you are having trouble booking tickets with your Promocode, this may mean that the performance is already fully booked, or your code has already been used for that event, or another issue. Please contact nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call 02-628-4555, and we will assist.

  • I have forgotten my promo code
    If you lose or forget your Membership Promocode, please contact nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call 02-628-4555.

  • I did not receive my membership confirmation?
    If you booked tickets or signed up for membership and for some reason you have not received an email confirmation, please check your Spam folder. Membership confirmation will come from a Platinumlist return address. If you still do not find it, please contact nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call 02-628-4555

  • I received an email from The Arts Center asking for financial information. What should I do?
    The Arts Center will never ask in an email for your bank details or for you to make payment for tickets or otherwise (outside of our box office system). We use Platinumlist, a secure website for all financial transactions. If you have received an email asking for payment, it is likely to be a ‘phishing’ email. Phishing is an online scam that targets large numbers of email addresses, often using a known brand to persuade people to part with their money. Please let us know if you receive such a request, so we can investigate and protect others.

  • How do I receive my merchandise? Will it be mailed to me?
    To claim your merchandise, please visit the VIP / Membership table when you arrive at an event, and let us know you want to claim your gifts. When you depart, please stop by again, so we can give it to you. Note that merchandise is limited to the Principal member only, and not to Add-on members.

  • How do I upgrade or downgrade my membership?
    If you wish to upgrade your membership, email us at nyuad.members@nyu.edu, and we will assist you with the upgrade.
    Unfortunately, downgrades are not possible, and no refunds are permitted.

  • How can I cancel my membership?
    You can choose not to exercise your membership benefits, but no refunds are permitted. It does not automatically renew, so no cancellation is required.

Eligibility: Any adult above 21 years old is eligible to apply for membership in the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center

Membership Categories: NYU Abu Dhabi offers the following categories of membership to its Arts Center:

Exclusions: Membership benefits exclude events produced by third-party partner organizations unless otherwise specified.

Membership Fees: The Arts Center VIP Membership costs AED 1400. The Arts Center Supporting Member membership costs AED 400. All membership fees are exclusive of VAT or any other government-levied tax or charge. Fees are subject to change at the discretion of the Art Center. Members will be notified of any fee changes 30 days in advance.

Payment: All membership fees are applicable annually and must be paid in full upon subscription, OR annually or monthly as per the selected plan. All membership fees are non-refundable.
Additional Memberships: For the VIP Membership, additional adults may be added to an existing membership for a discounted price of AED 900 per additional adult. Additional youths (21 and under) may be added to an existing membership for a discounted price of AED 600 per additional youth
For Supporting Memberships, additional adults may be added to an existing membership for a discounted price of AED 250 per additional adult. Additional youths (21 and under) may be added to an existing membership for a discounted price of AED 175 per additional youth
Membership Activation: Membership is activated upon receipt of payment. A membership card will be issued, which must be presented to receive benefits.

Membership Renewal: Membership will automatically renew unless canceled by the member by notice from the member to the NYU Abu Dhabi Art Center at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal fees will be payable immediately upon each anniversary and will be invoiced to the member at least 30 days before the renewal date/charged to the credit card on file.

Cancellation and Termination of Membership: Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting 02-628-4555 at the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center. The Art Center reserves the right to terminate memberships for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these terms and conditions or misconduct.

Delivery of Events: Members acknowledge that all performances, exhibits, and events at the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center are subject to change, cancellation, or rescheduling at the sole discretion of the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center without prior notice. Events may also be contingent upon obtaining necessary regulatory approvals or satisfying other specific requirements. The NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center is not liable for any inconvenience, expense, loss, or damage resulting from such changes. Members are encouraged to verify the status of events prior to attendance.

Use of Membership: Membership benefits are non-transferable and are to be used by the named member or additional member only. Any misuse of membership benefits will result in immediate termination without a refund.

Privacy and Data Protection: The Art Center is committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected during the membership process will be used solely for membership management and communication purposes. The Arts Center will not share your information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

Policies: Members shall comply with all policies, rules, and regulations applicable to the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center while attending events. This includes adherence to guidelines related to conduct, safety, and the use of facilities. Failure to comply with these policies may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to suspension or termination of membership and barred access to future events.

Intellectual Property: All intellectual property rights related to exhibits, performances, or any other presentations at the event remain vested in the original authors, artists, or performers. Participation by members in any interactive aspects of these events does not confer any ownership, rights, title, or interest in the intellectual property to the members. Any reproduction, distribution, or public display of material from the events without proper authorization from the rightful owners is strictly prohibited.

Confidentiality: Whilst you can share information about the NYU Abu Dhabi Art Center membership programs, generally, you must respect the confidentiality of others. This means you should not disclose any information that should reasonably be expected to be confidential to NYU Abu Dhabi or the other members, and you certainly should not disclose images of other individuals or members or other personally identifiable information unless you are confident that you have their consent to such disclosure. If you are unsure, you are advised not to disclose information or images. Breaches of confidentiality will be taken very seriously and could result in your NYU Abu Dhabi Art Center membership being canceled.

NYU Abu Dhabi Art Center Values: The NYU Abu Dhabi Art Center celebrates art and culture in an environment that is a safe space for free and diverse artistic expression. All members are expected to take a responsible and respectful approach while attending events. Any non-compliance in this regard may result in a loss of or suspension of membership benefits.

Publicity and media release: As a member of the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center, you may be asked to contribute to publicity campaigns run by the Arts Center to raise the profile of the Arts Center or otherwise be featured in press coverage. Membership subscription confirms your consent to NYUADC to use and publish your image (photographs and video) and audio recordings unless you notify the Arts Center otherwise in writing. NYU Abu Dhabi’s social media guidelines will also apply to all content – these are available at [ ].

Indemnity: Members agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, expenses, or costs (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with the member's misuse of their membership, unauthorized participation in any events, misuse of the Arts Center facilities, or violation of these terms and conditions. This indemnity includes but is not limited to any injury, loss, or damage suffered as a result of the member's conduct or from the conduct of other attendees at events organized by the Arts Center.

Changes to Terms and Conditions: NYU Abu Dhabi reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via email or through our website.

Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
