The Butterfly Garden in Abu Dhabi serves as the inaugural sanctuary of its kind within the UAE's capital, housing a population of over 10,000 butterflies.

This indoor butterfly garden features climate-controlled domes whose architecture takes inspiration from the specific design of a butterfly's head. Visitors navigate between distinct ecological zones, including the American Dome and the Asian Dome, which are connected by a bridge crossing a central oasis.

Located within the Al Qana waterfront district, the Al Qana Butterfly Garden provides a tropical environment modelled after the Amazon and various Asian ecosystems. The facility showcases diverse wildlife beyond insects, including the Cuvier’s Dwarf Caiman, Linnaeus Two-Toed Sloths, and Palawan Bearcats.

This destination functions as a climate-regulated nature escape where guests observe species such as the Blue Morpho and Atlas Moth amidst waterfalls and koi ponds.

Tripods are not allowed.
Please refrain from touching the butterflies or other animals.
Children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 16 years or older at all times.
Dress code: Visitors are kindly requested to follow the UAE’s public dress regulations.

Parking Information:

The Butterfly Garden is one of the anchor attractions in Al Qana, offering over 1,400 surface parking spaces free of charge.
Designated drop-off areas and accessible parking for People of Determination are available close to the entrance.

Accessibility & Guest Services:

People of Determination and one companion receive a 50% discount on tickets.
Wheelchairs are available free of charge upon presenting a valid ID at the counter.
Signage guides are available in Arabic and English across the garden.
