Overview

Director and choreographer Ján Ďurovčík present an extraordinary and original collaboration between two internationally renowned Slovak ensembles, showcasing a vibrant and spontaneous celebration of gypsy culture in an exhilarating new musical and dance extravaganza. "Gypsies Go to Heaven" is a dynamic production that is packed with surprising and breathtaking dance sequences, expertly performed by the talented artists of the Slovak Dance Theatre. The show also features captivating cembalo solos by Ernest Šarközi and other members of the Gypsy Devils orchestra, demonstrating their virtuosity. Inspired by the legendary Moldavian filmmaker Emil Loteanu, whose films received accolades at festivals and filled cinemas in the 1970s, this production encapsulates the essence of his story in a truly captivating manner.

By public transport: The Cultural Foundation is accessible by bus. The nearest bus station would be Abu Dhabi Bus Station which is 1.2 Kilometers away from the Cultural Foundation.   

By taxi: You can also take a taxi to the Cultural Foundation. It's a famous destination and most drivers would be familiar with its location.
