ADCG Presents: MOVE... A Musical Journey

From the Group that brought you the SMASH Hit, Legally Blonde:

Abu Dhabi Choral Group, affectionately known as ADCG, is proud to present the opening of their 39th season in the form of an original concept musical revue. Part of their ADCG Presents: series, the show is titled MOVE… A Musical Journey. For this show the group is excited to return to the Folklore Theater, where they debuted the smash hit Legally Blonde last spring. MOVE contains popular Broadway music from hit shows such as Les Miserables, Sister Act, The Little Mermaid, Titanic and the Green Day rock opera American Idiot.

‘MOVE’ is a concert. It’s a mash-up of our favourite musical tunes. It’s a mix of song, dance, and some jokes about the art of travel. It’s for fans of music, lovers of Broadway and friends of comedy. It’s a show for people who have a hard time staying in one place for to too long.

We talk about travel constantly. We ARE travelling constantly. And what better way to connect with people from around the world? ‘Where are you from and where have you been?’

In the little over a year that I’ve lived in Abu Dhabi I’ve been fortunate enough to have spent collectively 90+ days living out of a suitcase. I’ve visited 7 countries on 4 continents – not including Abu Dhabi, which is the epicenter of it all. This city is a catalyst for experiencing the world. I constantly hear from people about how their trip away of home has changed their life and their outlook. I changed as a person when I moved to the UAE, as I know many others in ADCG have.

This show is a celebration of that. And most importantly, it’s with the music and people that we love.
