One of the most prestigious ensembles in African Classical Music and Jazz, 3MA: Ballaké Sissoko, Driss El Maloumi, Rajery will perform in Abu Dhabi, offering a unique night of African and Arab music blends.

3MA is a meeting of three string-instrument virtuosi, emblematic of their countries in Africa, artists who share a musical passion, a generous, reciprocal dialogue and a beautiful friendship.

In 2006, when the Malian Kora Ballaké Sissoko met Moroccan oud maestro Driss El Maloumi and Malagasy prince of the valiha, Rajery, they could have given up after a bunch of concerts and one final recording – as have so many other artists. However, the mesmerising tremor that rose out of their instruments when they first performed together still resonates today. Driven by the pleasure of an exceptional musical relationship along with a vital human connection, they have continued to meet regularly, always joyfully, their reunions continuing to enrich their solo careers.
