Cultural Foundation Classics: The Tchalik Quartet “A Family Story”

The internationally recognised quartet comprises of four siblings who share their love of music and have been performing together from an early age. The group has already performed at various festivals in France, Austria, Italy, Spain and Russia, some of which have been broadcast live on France Musique on several occasions. The quartet won the Chamber Music Award 2016 at ISA (Vienna) and the 2017 Fondazione Monte dei Paschi award in Siena, as well as first prize at the International Mozart Competition (Salzburg) in February 2018.

The programme that the Tchalik Quartet has selected for the Cultural Foundation will focus on pieces from a French and East-European Repertoire, a mix of 19th Century and contemporary music. The quartet will also try to highlight artistic influences from the Arab and Indian world that shine through their fascinating music.
